Taïga is now a sophomore at Fairview Heights High School. Dark hair, long legs, mesmerizing eyes, and add to that a spellbinding voice… She spends her time between school and her friends, studying, riding, singing in the band IDC and fighting with her half-brother Rowan. Everything would be perfect if only she could shake off her worries about her mother, Shasta. She breaks down and gets in trouble with the police when she finds out Shasta has left for good (everyone is still unaware of her death!). What finally pushes her over the edge is the news that she’s “kind of” engaged…
