Originally this was just a save I shared on the What Happened in Your Sims 3 Game Today thread but I decided now would be a good time to give it its own thread. The first couple of updates will be very short as I didn't take many pictures and I was without internet and had a laptop that was barely running. Each post will be in it's original form unless I need to add something to them but it'll take me awhile to copy the old posts over.The family started out as the Jones family but a descendant married a Langerak, changing the family name. As of 08/19/2021, there is only one Jones member left due to resurrection.

A man named Emit Relevart arrived to inform him about the future and gave him something called the Time Almanac. I wanted to try a new Sim for a while so I went with the first Sim that popped up in CAS. I changed a few things about her and randomly rolled her name. She basically is just trying to raise her spellcasting skill and painting skills, although she'll eventually master all skills from the EP's I have installed now. I changed my mind on that later on in the save. To work on her spellcasting, I had her working on converting apples to whatever items she could. This is also where she gets away from everyone to learn alchemy and painting. I'll probably expand it sometime to include a few other rooms, nothing too big.********** I got bored of the family at day 91 so I deleted the saves I backed up but luckily I restored my day 49 save and resumed the family. I had to laugh last night when I played. Emily and Christopher, both elders, took their grandchild Melanie and Christopher’s clone Christian to the pool. I sent them all to swim while Eric, Emily and Christopher’s son (also Melanie’s father) went to meet Gage Briody for an opportunity. As for his wife, she was flirting with her ex, Sam Sekemoto at home. Sam was a recent victim of a Large and In Charge elixir. I was so focused on her wish to flirt with someone other than Eric and didn’t pay any attention to the pool. The camera zoomed to the pool where Christian, only a child, drowned to death. Luckily, Emily had a Philosophers Stone and she brought him back as a ghost. I laughed though because now the family gets the negative ghost reaction sometimes.When I brought the family back from the pool, Christopher (Steel) Jones immediately began to read the ambrosia recipe. He had already maxed cooking shortly before becoming an elder as well as becoming a celebrity chef. Emily had two deathfish in a chest, she got those by converting apples. The Watcher blessed the family with one Life Fruit plant, giving them rules to only use it for emergencies. Emily, as I mentioned before, is a powerful witch but not enough to resurrect Sims. Luckily, she has a Philosophers Stone and brought Christian back as a ghost. He had to wait a few days, but the Chris clone ate the ambrosia his “father” Christopher made. A few days later, he aged up to teen and went off to boarding school. That is where I left off. Eric is almost a CEO now and his wife Fawn Ursine Jones is halfway through the music career. They are adults as of last night. Their daughter Melanie will age to teen today and she is the heir.**********Today, Christian (Christopher Steel clone) came home from boarding school. He didn’t like the one he was sent to. Chris and Emily are elders with very little time left but Chris at least started teaching his clone to drive. Eric, their son, is now a CEO but keeps getting opportunities to switch to politics. I may do that since his LTW was achieved. His wife Fawn Ursine is getting closer to her goal of being a movie composer while Melanie just became a werewolf. The full moon came out the night before so no one slept good. Quinton works late so he didn't sleep well either so the family was able to eat breakfast together.

Dwight had to disguise himself as a mad scientist for work today. The mission was successful and he was promoted. Unfortunately, his birthday is soon so he'll either have to work as an elder, or retire without reaching his LTW.

I was a bit surprised when Ariana got an opportunity for work. It said that L4U-Rn voted for the other candidate in the recent election and that the council wanted Ariana to cut ties with the Plumbot in exchange for a promotion. I almost decided against it, but it's a small price to pay for a promotion. Ariana invited her over, then proceeded to insult her and declare L4U-Rn as a nemesis. Now I just have to wait until Ariana returns to work.

Someone didn't clean up their plate from the night before. Melanie seems to be looking at it in disgust, probably trying to figure out who to complain to. The Watcher was nice enough to delete the plate so it wouldn't stink up the dining room during breakfast.

Melanie got an opportunity to resurrect a deceased Sim. She went to the graveyard to figure out who to bring back. It didn't take her long to decide who she needed at that moment.

Unfortunately, the scientists couldn't bring Emily back like they wanted to but Melanie had her beloved grandmother back. (Temporarily, I'll need the space in the future so she'll be going back to the Netherworld for a while again. Also, like I told @bekkasan, I'll be bringing Christopher back for a small return next time I play.

Emily and Melanie wasted no time in catching up with family news. Emily was surprised to learn she had a PlantSim for a great granddaughter. She also discussed with Melanie how there are certain fish you can add to life fruit to make a dish that brings back the dead. Melanie stored that in her mind for future reference.

Then came Dwight's birthday. Emily sort of remembered him as she attended the wedding between him and Melanie all those Sim days ago. Daisy wasn't quite home from school yet so that explains why she wasn't in this photo.

I had sent everyone to bed but then I realized that I hadn't had anyone do the gardening. I ended up waking Emily and sending her out do finish the gardening.

Once she finished the gardening, I sent her to the alchemy store to buy some ingredients and elixirs. If you remember, she has completely mastered alchemy, one of the reasons I brought her back.

The alchemy store didn't have what I was looking for so I had Emily create what I needed. Luckily, Dwight had broken some space rocks and the gem I needed for this elixir was one that he had. With Emily's skill, she was able to create three of the elixirs.

I didn't really do anything with Dwight's clothing but I plan on it soon. Anyway, both he and Melanie still have the nicest bed so they wake up before anyone else does. I'll have to remember to pack the things I need when I bring them to Riverview. I don't know that I'll get to that point tonight but I will see.

Emily (and my) plan was to cure Dwight of his lycanthropy once he became an elder. Melanie will also get cured when she becomes an elder, mostly so I slowly get rid of werewolves so I can bring in a different occult. Fairies, Vampires, Aliens, and Genies are the ones I need still unless I add zombies and mummies. They already had a Plumbot so I still need to have them get a SimBot. I also want to get each pet in the game for this family too and when I get Island Paradise, I'll have a mermaid in the family tree as well. These are some of the plans anyway, just not sure when each one will happen except for the fact vampires will either be in Moonlight Falls or Bridgeport.

Dwight really needed to work on his report writing so I decided to send him to the neighbors. Unfortunately, Uncle Christian was gone so Dwight had to resort to other means. He was able to dig enough dirt up on Christian's wife Jennifer to write a report.

Dwight finished up his report on Jennifer but I need to get a few more if I can. I'm just hoping he reaches his LTW before he dies or I'll have to extend his life until he does. It's not a rule since I'm only playing however I want with this save but it's just something I like to do.

The family ate birthday cake together to celebrate the two recent birthdays. The next ones, if I recall correctly, will be Melanie and Michael. Ariana's is coming up but I think all of these but Melanie are after the move.

I did pick out a hair for Daisy before I closed the game down but I'll have to pick out her clothes here in a minute. I'm loading the game up right after I post this.

***That's all for now, I have 5 Sim days left before the move to Riverview. There will be some new additions to the family tree soon after the move and it will include some of the Riverview townies so I'm looking forward to that.

I was waiting on everyone to wake up for breakfast so I had Quinton play guitar in the bedroom. Some of the family who were awake decided to watch for a bit.

Melanie had a wish to read 20 books so I let her read a book of her choosing. I don't know if she'll complete it, but I'll try.

Quinton and Ariana had a bit of alone time together before heading to the shower. I kind of like that showers are woohoo spots because both Sims can get cleaned at the same time and the fun meter goes up along with social.

Since it was getting later, I just decided to have them all eat at the diner. Irene is fitting in well with the family, although her only friend out of all of them so far is Michael. I was also wrong in my last post, they are only romantic interests at this point in time.

I hadn't seen Cori for a bit, looks like she is doing well. I don't know how many days she has left until her birthday but I'll have to make sure to Porter her over to Riverview as well.

Ariana finally got around to teaching Daisy how to drive. Unlike with Michael, I had Daisy finish it all in one day.

For today, I had Melanie take care of the garden. She got a decent amount of simoleans from the money trees. These ones are not getting transferred to Riverview as I'll start a new garden there and have Daisy be the caretaker.

Irene decided she wanted to become closer to Michael's family so I had her start with his dad. Dwight seems to like her, that's a good thing.

Okay, so I decided to take the plunge and edit her face to make her somewhat better. In my opinion, she actually is a pretty Sim and I was surprised how well she turned out. I even got rid of her poo colored hair and I feel like this color suits her much better.

Now they are boyfriend and girlfriend. Her traits are actually decent too, I know schmoozer, charasmatic, and flirty are three of them. I forget what number 4 is. She also wants to be Leader of the Free World, maybe she can be Ariana's successor.

To celebrate the new relationship, Mike gave Irene Precious Pink flowers. I always seem to do the red or yellow ones so I picked these instead.

Irene was so happy about everything that was happening to her that she jumped into Mike's arms. Then, they went up to Dwight and Melanie's room to have a pillow fight.

And lastly, Quinton got another promotion at work. He also reached level 10 in guitar and has that skill mastered. I'm not doing the skill challenges for it as they can be a pain but at least he doesn't have to worry about raising it for work now.

Daisy doesn't have to eat anything since she is a PlantSim so I had her continue trying to create the IF potion to make them real Sims. Unfortunately, it still didn't happen.

I decided to have Dwight do the cooking today. He decided to make pancakes.

Most of the household was awake by this time so most of them got to eat breakfast together.

I sent Daisy over to see what elixirs the alchemy store had but they only had one that I wanted. I had her buy it for future use on Irene. (It's a beneficial elixir)

Afterwards, I had her gain the first skill level in alchemy. I figured since she is the heir, learning some skills will help her out.

Dwight went to become friends with Scot McGraw. He is the son of Sandi French McGraw but I'm not sure who his father is. I had Dwight question him so I could have him write a report for work.

Daisy finally got a second potion but it was not the one I'm needing. I meant to leave the IF's in Sunset Valley if neither she nor Mike got the IF one but they got Portered in anyway.

And after a goodnights sleep, I Portered everyone I wanted to Riverview. Carina Sekemoto and her family, Alicia Bunch Goth's family, and several cousins were added. On a sad note, Christian Jones didn't make it to see Riverview, but his ghost was included in the Porter file. Everybody transferred correctly and I did work at the Langerak's expense to the houses that needed work done. I added some lots and venues for the Sims to go to as well as some houses. The family already at least knows Hal Breckenridge and a few other townies but I'm still planning on Ariana to campaign at neighboring houses.

***If anyone knows of some good Riverview townies, let me know. I know George Dean is good as Brittany Goddard married him once and I know that CravenLestat likes Betty Simovitch. I do know I'd like to get Don Lothario in the family tree but we will see how it goes.

Langerak Family Update (Riverview Day 1 or Day 150 overall)

After arriving in Riverview, Michael and his live-in girlfriend, Irene Robertson, decided to play chess together. Dwight had a wish to meditate so I let him do so to receive the happiness points.

Ariana continued to campaign, this time at the Grigsby family home. I don't remember this guys first name but you can easily find it on the wiki. I just couldn't be bothered to look, lol.

Dwight made food for the family but then decided to eat on his own. Like the time I had Brittany from my Ultimate Sim challenge live here, I'll possibly delete this area so he is forced to eat at the table. However, I may or may not move them into a downloaded house or one already in Riverview. It all depends on what I decide later. Remember, I'm aiming for at least 150 days in each town so they'll be here for several generations.

Daisy had a nice chat with her stepfather, Quinton Sekemoto Langerak. I'm still looking forward to seeing where Daisy goes in this save, I haven't got her dating anyone yet so it's a surprise to me too.

Quinton might not be her biological father (since Ariana is her only genetic parent) but he loves Daisy like he was. I'm debating on whether Quinton and Ariana should give Daisy a sibling or not. I guess that's another thing everyone will have to wait and see. I'm leaning towards yes but don't hold me to it.

Daisy was the first Sim up after the first night sleeping in Riverview. As she doesn't need to eat, I had her start to learn the sculpting skill.

Quinton got up and decided to run to the old garage to paint. I needed more bedrooms so I converted the garage into a small apartment building. Upstairs, I put some random skill building items for the family to use.

Melanie took a nap as she had a party she wanted to attend. When she woke up, Irene and a friend were doing there homework in there.

One of the first people she talked with was Carina Sekemoto, Quinton's mother. Melanie used to like Garry Sekemoto when she was a teen but Carina doesn't hold it against her and they are good friends.

Melanie also said hello to her acquaintance, Cori Lucas. If you remember, Cori is one of the Sims that @CravenLestat created for me last year. I had her attend university with Ariana and Quinton where she got a science degree. She also did experiments in science that caused her to create a Forbidden Fruit. She sold it to Ariana to pay the family back for paying for her degree. Ariana planted the seed and that's how we got Daisy.
