Agnes Crumplebottom's story is so sad! :'( She was the very first sim I ever, ever played with in the Sims 3 because of this sad story. Due to all this, I really hope to one day send my sims to Sunset Valley so that one of them can fall in love with her. Then she can join the legacy and hopefully heal from her tragic past.
As for Midnight Hollow, I'm not the biggest fan of scary things in general. I did notice that the Yates family from Midnight Hollow seems to be a reference to the movie Psycho, though. I might be missing out on some nice hairstyles and clothes (maybe?), but I'm glad I skipped out on that town. It's just not my taste. I did get the toy machine though, such a great item!
On a slightly related note, an EA family I find myself really drawn to is the Rodgers family from Moonlight Falls. Linda being so happy about her adopted toddler Sophie and trying to raise her as best as she can just sounds so sweet to me! I enjoy adding them to my town and I always see Linda caring for Sophie autonomously. It just makes me awwwww. <3 I've never played them, but I would love to help/watch Linda raise her beloved adopted daughter. Oh, and there's also some adoption mix up shenanigans going on in the background there, too. :p
