So sorry about your crashing problem @Pinkusfamily. I use the windows button to pop out of my game and check the compositor package files. When I reach 100k on the first one or approach 500k on the second one, I'll save my game and then quit. I delete those files along with the sim log one as they are usually the only ones that increase in size. For me, anything larger in size on those compositor files might cause my game to lock up, not save, or crash to desktop. And that 500k is generous. Anything over 350k and I will be very careful, saving much more frequently and looking for a good stopping point!
I delete my older saves then too, keeping just the latest two - one for backup in case something goes wrong with the latest one. I check for any .tmp files in the dcCache folder to delete as well. And, if I've been taking pics, I might rename the screenshots folder to screens or shots, which keeps the pics in your sims 3 folder, but not in the launcher. You might delete any files in downloads that you've already installed too, or at least move them out of the sims 3 folder to a safe location for installing again at a later time to another sims 3 folder.
I am impressed with how quickly your build is going! I've just started on the CASting and I'm incredibly slow at that and take lots of breaks!
