Is the tub by any chance Custom Content?
The reason I ask is that I had this problem myself. Even though I "fixed" all my CC for Pets so that my sims could use it (the animations, water, etc. all worked), the dog bath interaction would fail (just cancel out), but only with CC tubs. It also cancelled for giving the cat a bath. There was plenty of room around the tub, so that wasn't the problem. It was fine with EA tubs though, so I just had to replace it. (A shame, because that particular CC tub was perfect for my poor family living in the barn with the animals until they could afford to build their OWN house... :lol:)
I LOVE the idea for a hose outside to wash pets! :shock: That is genius! (It would be pretty cool if you could bathe horses with it too! After all, they get dirty too... :P ) I doubt they would add it in a later EP or SP (unless they put a hose in for something else, like watering plants or washing cars, and made it Pets-compatible), but they might do something like that in the Store as Premium content. I never buy Store stuff (I already spend too much hard-earned money on Sims! :P ), but I would use up my free points for something like that...
