@Karritz I didn't intend the world to be tropical neither, it's supposed to be a little like the south of France, where you can see snow on the palmtrees during the cold season... :) And Twin Towns look fantastic in winter, especially Thornbuck slope... :)
I've not traveled outside Australia and have only seen snow once in the far distance while visiting Canberra in the winter. I have lived all my life in the tropics or sub-tropics. It never snows here - even if it gets almost cold enough to do it.
