Unable to start game. Device 0 cannot run this title

Well I could play fine, occasionally got crashes but given the amount of power Sims 3 takes to run I think that was just down to me playing on a laptop not a desktop, then I stopped playing for a while (not related, just wanted a break from Sims). Then, a few months later when I tried to play I get this error. I've not damaged my laptop or the games, both of which I've looked after well, and am also completely unable to understand why this would suddenly start happening :/
