gamekitten: I think you've got a whole lot of simmers onto something with this express cache :). I'm the same I have no clue when it comes to computers, as long as they play my games I'm a happy little lady. I'm also in the same boat as you being ill and all, I have not long finished 12 lots of chemo so playing on my computer is a nice escape from any promblems the real world throws at me.
jeffisdeaf: I will try lowering the settings and see how that works. I only got my PC in 2011 and I got a new graphics card in Jan so it should run fine but this is the sims we are talking about and we all know how temperamental it can be lol.
secretuk: that's a good idea I hadn't thought of that, and at least then I can rule out it being a problem with the uni world. Yep I often have to do the same thing when I get a new expansion, it's so annoying!
Twielyeght: oh no I do hope you aren't stuck in university forever :( it would be such a drag if you had to lose your save over this issue. Good luck getting home.
