WCIF Apocalyptic Sky Replacement mod for TS3 (if there is any).

The only apocalyptic sky mod I've found in Sims is for Sims 2. I need it for the scenes immediately following the nuclear war.

If you know what you're doing, you can tweak the coding w/ S3PE to tune the lighting effects to your liking. I believe there are guides for this on MTS and possibly blogs but I haven't been able to figure it out myself.

It's a default mod so it will override all worlds (minus Oasis Landing). To remove, pull out the package file and clear cache.

Sorry to dig this up from July of this year but I needed to thank @SimplyJen. :) She was the one that suggested the Burnt Waffles Dystopian Sky replacement.
...and this is how it looks in my game...

absolutely toxic brown-gold (heavily laden with radiation)...and nighttime is appropriately scary:

Just absolute post-apocalyptic gloom and just perfect for my post-apocalyptic playground.
  • Looks really awesome! The more I play this game the more I start to love different settings and themes in the worlds. Really helps keep the gameplay interesting instead of having the same ol’ blue skies and perfect-ness all the time :p

Dystopian would definitely work. If I need a darker sky, I can always work it in Photoshop Elements with the dodge and burn tool. :) Quick question; @SimplyJen, Can I pull it out when I don't need it or does it make permanent changes to the game? Because I figure after a generation the sky will revert back to normal, it's just during the post-Apocalyptic phase of the game, that I want the skies as sinister as possible. :)

Great, super. just like pulling out any package. :) Thanks. I try to make a habit of clearing out my cache every time I exit a game.
