I'm sure it varies depending on the game, but in your current save, what do you give your sims? At least the ones you like; I'm sure someone here will describe force-feeding a neglected stepchild bur...

I cant believe more don't say restaurant etc... My sims always!!!!! do bistro because the hidden ops.
Can get insta job promotion if get the bosses birthday event (Promotion to next job level just for eating) yessssss please!!!
Can get free high quality fruits and vegetables a bunch too
Can get free whole perfect quality angel food cake (don't forget to put it in your fridge)
And most important reason I bistro
Pretty common to get the Divine meal moodlet from event of choosing to eat your wrong order
+75 mood boost for Seven days!!!!
After my main sim gets the divine meal cook at home normally for a week till it wears off and repeat back to the bistro for lunch and dinner
The biggest mood boost you can get and The only other random expensive way to get it is spa treatment 7,500 package and the max is 75 but can be anywhere from 30-75 so is a gamble.
