What do you feed your sims?
I'm sure it varies depending on the game, but in your current save, what do you give your sims? At least the ones you like; I'm sure someone here will describe force-feeding a neglected stepchild bur...

@Nikkei_Simmer Hahaha they rarely do. My dad coined the phrase "Daddy doesn't care" when my brother was two, as in, "I know you're whining because you want Mommy to respond, but you're not getting Mommy, you have Daddy, and Daddy doesn't care." It took three weeks to fully sink in, but then it became shorthand for "no sympathy, no discussions, it is what it is," and it has stayed in effect ever since. Needless to say, it made dinner (and a lot of other things) much easier on both of my parents.
By the way, I'm glad to see you're doing okay after those Olympic hockey results. I was worried there'd be rioting in the streets, and you and your neighbors would be... busy politely cleaning up after yourselves so as not to inconvenience the public works people.
