Hi Everyone,
Hope that you're all having a Satisfying Saturday or in other words a great day!
texansky Enjoyed your update and little Mandy is very cute and hope that things work out for their parents. Playing 'As-it-happens' style can make the game interesting as sims are very good at surprising their guides (us players) with their antics and other unforseen things. I haven't played with Seasons or Into the Future for awhile but when I did, sims did have a way of just standing there waiting for lightning to strike or a meteor to fall on them instead of getting running away. Silly Sims!
DivinylsFan Hope you're able to get into the Sims 3 site soon. I've been able to sign into the site and have access to most of my stuff although the 'Purchase History' is still not loading but at least my purchases can be found in other parts of the Sims 3 Store but it just takes a little bit more searching. Kind of like a treasure hunt but at least I was able to get what I needed and like using in my game. Other items are not so important as they are rarely used in my game now.
As for Bahiti finding a turtle in France, with the Pets expansion pack, small critters can be found in China, Egypt and France but not the larger animals like cats, dogs and horses. Since Bahiti hasn't earned enough Happiness Points for the 'collection helper', yet and the critters have been hard to spot in Twinbrook, I decided to help her find a turtle while she was in France since she's been wishing for one for awhile in game. Used some of the tricks-of-the-trade when I saw a turtle on the little island in the river off the coast of Champs Des Sims, like teleporting Bahiti there so she could catch her critter. I usually only look for critters for my sims to catch in World Adventures on the last day of their trips since they tend to escape if caught too soon.
HotBlackSand Hope you are doing well this holiday season and that your Sims are doing well.
BylineBelife Yes, Chi and Bahiti are turning out to be fun sims to play with and I'm looking forward to seeing how things progress in Bahiti's future with her newfound romantic relationship with Notzo Curious after she graduates in a couple of Sim visits with the household. Chi hopes that her Mr. Right will come along as well.
Hope that everyone else is having fun with their sims and builds and have a Joyous Holiday Season!
Now for an update from the busy visit, I had with Chang and Honey where their daughter, Holly has started high school and little Chauncey learning to walk, talk and has almost mastered his potty training before he begins school near the end of my next visit with family.
Chang & Honey both traveled to Egypt over the course of my visit beginning with Chang's return trip to finish his MorcuCorp adventures by retrieving the Relic of Eternity from the depth's of Great Pryamid. Chang decided to finish these missions in five days rather than the eight he could have taken so that he wouldn't be away from his family for long. He took his trip during Honey's off days from her music career so that she could stay home with little Chauncey since Holly was still a child at the time. Will have the photos from Chang's trip below. Since the special merchant, Nepthy Hawas had taken the day off when he first arrived, Chang waited until day 2 of his trip to buy some mummy snacks in case there was a mummy hiding in one of the many sarcophaguses that he heard were hidden around the tomb. Thankfully, any other mummies other than the ones guarding the relic didn't come out of their sarcophagus sleeping quarters but some roughed Chang a bit when they hauled him inside while looking inside them. It took Chang three days to find the Relic of Eternity and return it to Helmi Hosni who was thankful for the assistance. After resting up that night, Chang managed to catch his 20th critter, a San Francisco Garter snake at the Simhara cemetery which completed his LTW of becoming a Zoologist.
Shortly after Chang returned home, Honey took her first overseas trip to Egypt to learn about history of the country's music from a few of the locals there. Her first adventure was to photograph a rubble pile for Nepthy Hawas for the new tourist guide she was writing. Honey decided to explore some of the Quarry Mines since the old guide mentioned that there were many rock piles down there. In addition to photographing one of the rubble piles, Honey found some metal bars, a cut rainbow gem and some nice relics while digging in a digsite there. See photos below for more details
Back home, Holly celebrated her teen birthday and got herself some new clothes. Her high school prom is coming up quickly and will happened at the beginning of my next visit with the family. Holly has since become good friends with her childhood playmate, Callie Moyer who has asked her to the prom, so I expect that will result in the two of them dating. In my early days of playing the game, I tried not accepting those date requests due to my beliefs and upbringing but found that the relationship happened anyways so just let them happen now.
Here are the photos from my visit with Chang and his family.
Will begin with this one of Chang sleeping inside of the 'safe' King's Sarcophagus that he constructed after going through his personal inventory and the treasure chest and finding out that he had enough pieces to make one. I delete the 'cursed' black ones when they are created as I don't want my sims to sleep in those ones. Thankfully this one is gold.
Will continue with the week's family photos before sharing the travel ones. Here, Holly is celebrating her teen birthday after delivering the butterflies that she caught for her school's scavenger hunt.
Holly added the 'Gatherer' trait to her 'virtuoso, ambitios and absent-minded' ones. Due to all the time she spent playing on the toddler xylophone, Holly has started all of her instrument skills at level 3.
Here's Holly in her new everyday outfit featuring different shades of her favorite 'Lilac'.
Before getting into Chang & Honey's travel pictures, here's Chauncey playing on the xylophone toy. He hasn't played with it as much as Holly did, since he's more on the athletic side but had fun with it. He likes playing with his special doll, as well.
Here are some pictures of Chang inside the Great Pyramid. He spent two nights sleeping in his tent during the search. Once in the room outside of the large middle one, since in the past, my sims weren't able to retrieve their tent when sleeping in that large middle room and I lost interactions with them. Of course that was back when many glitches were happenning and I haven't been willing to try it since.
Chang disabling his 10th trap.
Chang sleeping in his tent next to the area where he found the the keystone to the final area of the Great Pyramid. Looks like he's pleading with someone in his dreams.
Chang found some nice nectar and valuable relics in the hidden room he found the next morning before continuing his search for the Relic of Eternity.
It took quite a few times for Chang to step on and off the floor switch before both mummies finally walked into the flames of the wall traps before he could retrieve the Relic of Eternity which he delivered to Helmi.
In Honey's trip to Egypt, she became friends with the special merchant, Nepthy Hawas after delivering the photo of a rubble pile and chatting to her about Egyptian music and other things. She also became friends with Sopdu Hawas and Shadia Rashid after meeting them at the market and getting the info she needed on their country's music.
Honey searching through the first digsite she found inside the Quarry mine before delivering her photo to Nepthy.
Honey taking some time to read before receiving a phone call from Farouk to help him by disarming the traps in the basement under his home. Although it was just past midday on the third day of her visit, Honey agreed to help him out. She managed to get the traps in the main area along with those in two other rooms before her time was up for this trip. Honey will return another time to finish making the Rashid family's basement safe but Farouk will still have the big and nearly impossible job of cleaning it.
Between the rubble piles that she cleared in the Quarry and the ones down here, Honey has become much better at it after smashing down her 10th pile.
Farouk wondering how in the world he was going to be able to clean this room up.
Will leave you with this scenic nighttime photo of the Sphinx who seems to be smiling under the lights in the night.
Have a great weekend!
I've never had a problem getting into the Sims 3 site during this current disruption.
I wonder why there were so many people all of a sudden wanting their stuff, reactivate, and to access the site causing the overload. Did something happen over at 4 to drive them all back to 3? Or are we receiving under 16 diaspora from social media? Maybe they thought it would be like a backdoor. Or just an alternative. Do they not have something similar over at 4?
There's people on the troubleshooting threads frequently talking about their multiple accounts. I only have 1 account, like you're supposed to.
The news showed a lot of kids boasting about their circumvention of the ban and their parents helping and giving them their accounts.
Ok, the turtle is from Pets 😁 Fun. I don't have Pets. I have a real cat though. And my dog's ashes in a necklace I wear all the time 😪
