I discovered what I think might have happened...I've found that whenever a sim has a birthday, everyone in the household takes a day off from work and I guess that includes school....
I think that one child wasn't home when the birthday happened so the day off didn't count for her. I'm not exactly sure, but that's what I'm thinking. ;)
