Yup, it's christmas time! ;)
Finally I finished this chapter.. which I have been postponing and sort of dreading to do for a while... because it was always the plan that it should involve the most difficult topic of all - romance! I really don't like writing romance, it's terrifying... so I hope I got it not to wrong.... :P
So..... here it is..
It's a long chapter too, so it comes in two parts.

Quick summary:
Beate talking to her mother Cornelia in the bathroom in the basement.The chapter begins on christmas morning with Beate wondering about why her father was sleeping on the couch yesterday, so she tracks down her mom (who is busy cleaning the house for the upcoming christmas party) to ask her about it.
Some men just want to watch a Christmas tree burn...The day continues with various objects breaking, a strange bathroom situation and Martin doing a good job at playing the part of the grinch in this story as he appears to grumpy at near everything from christmas decorations to their tenant Tay taking a shower in the bathroom down in the basement...
Martin is harassing Tay again for something.Like I said.... but anyway, after a while the guests finally arrive and the party can begin. Beate has a plan in store...

..and well, I don't want to give spoilers, but towards the end of part one it certainly looks like the part is about to fail.. so.. well, it didn't really go 100 % according to the plan, but maybe it turned out good anyway.... ;)
In part two is where you will find the attempt to execute the plan, before the party continue with the usual gift wrap opening.. as usual, maybe, not everyone is going to be happy about what they got, but that's just how it is..
Noah is a little sour.Then towards the end of the second part another secret that isn't really a secret is revealed, before its time to go home and get some sleep...
I tried... I really tried.. just go to i my blog, in my bio, this is just utterly useless.... It won't let me post links nor images in this thread... why not?
Edit: Well, somehow it worked if I went back and added only one picture and one link per edit.... but really, this is way to complicated just to make one post....I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble. I was able to post these images in one edit. My post is a bit long, but I hope it will help you and others having the same issue.
When you are in this thread writing a post, the sixth option below, starting with B for bold, is a piece of a linked chain. To insert a link like this one - My domain, (texanskylegacies.com), be sure the cursor is where you want the URL text to appear. When you click the chain link, a window pops up. Unlike other programs, this box will have the space for the URL on the top and the name you want to show the readers on the bottom.
So for the example I posted here, the URL link "https://texanskylegacies.com" was typed into the top space, and "My domain, (texanskylegacies.com)" was entered into the bottom space. I only put the URL in the "Text to Display" so people would remember it to find my site later. You don't need to show the URL in your post unless you want to. If you want the URL in your post, paste the URL into both boxes.
To enter an image, put your cursor where you want the picture, click on the camera, and select either From Computer or From Image URL, you can choose to upload one from your computer, or point to an image from your blog. I get the URL for my blog images by going to Media, clicking on the image I want to post, copying the URL on the information panel next to the image, and pasting the URL into the space in the pop-up box.
To use an image from your blog, paste the URL into the box on the pop-up window. The picture should appear wherever your cursor is at the time.
To Insert from your computer: navigate to the folder where the picture is located, select the image you want, and click the Open button. The image will be uploaded to this site and embedded into your post. It will appear wherever your cursor is located.

The only difference between the two is that the top image from the website was inserted by pointing to the URL, and the bottom image from my computer was uploaded and embedded into this post.
If you have it figured out by now, the information I provided here can still help others with the same issues.
texanskyThank you for outlining the process of showing images and creating links and being helpful, but that was not the issue for me as I was able to figure that out on my own. The problem was (or is?) more that after I had put the images, text and links into the post nothing happened after I clicked the Reply button.. or rather, the page refreshed, but no post was made. And that happened over and over...
So I was close to giving up, when I, just as an experiment, tried to share only one picture before hitting reply... then going back to the same post to add one more, then hit Save. And repeat the process until the post was complete, as originally intended..
I believe the problem comes from forum performance issues, that somehow posting multiple pictures and/or links overwhelms the forum.. which is pretty incredible. I joined my first forum in the early 2000s and never before have I seen one that malfunctions to this level! I know its EA and as such I wasn't expecting anything great, but this has surpassed even my lowest expectations! It's actually a lot worse than I thought it would be - and that's bad!

I hope the highlight of the chapter in part two wasn't to corny.. ;) It was a struggle to make that happen too, because of course the other main character was adamant to go to his work, which would have completely ruined the plan.. which is why it ended up a little different on the porch.. ;)
Yeah, I don't want to come off as to sour and negative, but first it was the disappointment that this was actually the new forum, and then on top of that it doesn't even work! So yeah, it has to get better, there is no other option. ;) So that it can actually be a fun experience to post again and share stories from games.. because honestly, this last experience wasn't very fun.. <_< >_>..and because of what I read about Tays family on the sims wiki he ended up speaking in a certain way, and I hope it doesn't come off as derogatory. Also there was a mention about him having an issue with apostrophes, which I'm not sure if I understood fully where it comes from.. maybe it would've helped if I was an American. ;)
