This is the first post of my recent Forsythe Family Legacy with the first 10th-generation heir as the founder of this legacy. Precious Joy Forsythe: In Her Own Words, came from the introduction post. The remainder of this post came from gameplay.
Precious Joy Forsythe: In Her Own Words
My name is Precious Joy Forsythe. I was born to Grady and Teri Forsythe in Glenvale County and am the first-born heir of the 10th generation of the Forsythe family. I am the namesake of Precious Forsythe, the founder of our family legacy, and my seventh-great-grandmother. When I was a toddler, my parents were murdered. I was the only known witness, so the case quickly grew cold and was never solved.
I was sent to live at the Glenvale County Orphanage and had few fond memories of my time there. The orphanage was a sterile and cold environment, lacking in anything other than meeting my basic needs of food, clothing, and shelter.
I struggled with my studies, and the orphanage staff labeled me a problem child. They often found me talking to myself. I had been seen babbling and occasionally catching and eating insects. I don’t know why I did these things. I would have sudden outbursts of emotion that I needed to let out. Eating insects was gross, but if I did catch one, I would pop it into my mouth. The other children either ignored me or made fun of me. Throughout the years, I had many sessions with a counselor who wrote “insane” in her notes but did nothing to help me.
When I was old enough, the orphanage helped me pack my few belongings in a backpack, gave me the usual stipend of §10,000, and sent me on my way. I still had a year of high school left, but they didn’t care. Since Glenvale County held nothing but bad memories for me, I took the next bus leaving the station. The first destination was Alryne Valley, and the town’s name intrigued me.
So, I exited the bus, and here I am in Alryne Valley in Wimborne County. I did my best to settle in with the Simoleons I had. I look forward to telling you my story. I can’t wait to see how my life unfolds.
The following is from the actual gameplay. It is picture-heavy. I tried placing them in a spoiler, but it didn't work, so I removed the spoiler tags. I tried [], {}, and <>. None of these worked.
Alone in Alryne Valley

When the bus dropped me off outside of City Hall, I went inside to inquire about somewhere to live. All of the homes in the area cost more than what I had available. The town clerk asked me how much I had to work with. The clerk suggested that I purchase land down the street, just a short distance from the town center. He advised me to buy a tent, a fire pit, and some fishing gear until I could afford to build on the property. He also told me there was a community garden next to the grocery store and a fishing pond in the park.
While shopping for supplies, I also purchased a bicycle to get around, arranged delivery of my items, and left the store with §1008. I had wanted to buy a sculpting station but I was short §92, so I decided to save until I had enough. I took my bicycle to the community garden and started harvesting fruits and vegetables.
I spent the entire day harvesting the garden. I can’t believe such a small garden had so much produce! Afterward, I went to the gym to shower and headed home. I found that the delivery team had set up my tent, fire pit, and bicycle rack for me. I also found a basket and a strange contraption in my yard.
I was too tired to investigate them, so I ate an apple and crawled into my tent.
A burglar visited my place in the middle of the night. I fought the burglar, but lost. He stole my tent. When the cop arrived, the burglar beat her up and got away.
Since I had nowhere to sleep until I could replace the tent, I decided that I might as well inspect the contraption on my lawn. A strange man appeared out of it and introduced himself as Emit Relevart. He claimed to be a time traveler, gave me an Almanac of Time, and asked me to find the Power Cells that were scattered about so he could repair his time portal. I managed to return five of them.
Emit repaired the time portal and disappeared into it. Having no desire to visit the future, I deactivated it and called the scrapyard to haul it away.
I found some University Freebees in the kit. I put on the t-shirt and waved the banner around for a bit before putting it and the kit away for a later time.
I called the store and ordered a new tent. I managed to plant an apple seed but was too tired to plant anything else. As soon as the tent was delivered and set up, I went back to bed.
My dreams were disturbing, reliving the burglary and the inability of the police to catch the burglar.
I awoke with a strong desire to sculpt something. I realized that after selling the time portal, I had enough to purchase a sculpting station.
I planted some seeds and stored the best of the remaining seeds in a box near the garden. I went to the grocery and sold the rest of my harvest.
I went to the park and introduced myself to Brad McKnight. He’s attractive in a boyish sort of way. We talked about gardening.

I discovered that he’s not really into cats. Then he offered me flowers! Naturally, I turned him down because he found cats boring. He took it hard.
Then, for some reason, the madness just came over me. I think I scared him away. Why does this happen to me?
I went across the street to the school to inquire about completing high school and signed up for GED classes. Then I went to the store to buy a top-of-the-line sculpting station and had it delivered to my home. Home – that has a nice ring to it. I don’t have much, but it’s all mine.

I enjoyed this! Gameplay-driven stories are my favourite kind of sim stories to read. (And I too would refuse flowers from someone who thinks cats are boring!)
