When I first started playing the Sims 3 in 2014 - which was also the first time I played any Sims game at all - I created a female Sim to live, basically, my dream life. Augusta lived on a houseboat in Isla Paradiso, was a self-employed artist, went on World Adventures, went scuba-diving and married a red-haired writer called Aidan, whom I created for her. They eventually had a red-haired daughter. Awesome! But, since it was my first time playing any Sims game, I was absolutely in over my head. I didn't have any experience with taking care of a sim's basic needs and skills, and I was trying to fight mummies and sharks!
So I decided to reboot my first ever gameplay, but this time I will actually know what I'm doing! I didn't want to remake Augusta and Aidan from scratch. I remade them from the actual same sims I played then, but I changed their looks completely because I was terrible at CAS back then too. (Luckily, my graphic settings were also terrible so I rarely had a good look at their faces!)

PalmArrowWhat a fun thing to do! 😃 I love Augusta and Aiden's new looks too. I look forward to reading about all their adventures. 😊
I had a similar experience when I was a new player. I played some of the original Sims just before Sims 2 came out, and when it did, I created my parents and their first 4 children (they had 7 altogether, I'm #6 🙂) and needless to say I went WAY over my head for still being a rookie sims player! (But I was just so excited sims could have kids! 😃)
I didn't know how to fulfill everyone's needs either and eventually my mom died in the game......because she was so busy taking care of all the kids, I forgot to have her take care of herself. It was the most devastating thing I had ever witnessed at the time and it messed me up emotionally for a few days. 😢
Nevertheless, I learned a valuable lesson from that and went back to the game starting with just one sim and learning the ropes. 👍🏻
(Oh and in case anyone is wondering, yes, my mother is still alive. 😆🙏🏻 Healthy and wonderful as ever. She and my dad just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this year. 💗)
