What is the purpose of the fragments in WA?
I understand the broken bowls and other treasures have to be analyzed to determine value. But, what is the purpose of collecting Dive Well fragments? Or, any of the other fragments in this game? Also,...

I think that the well does look pretty in a garden, but yes other than being able to dive in it it's just a decorative item. I have been able to connect two wells so that when you dive in other you come out of other. You can also change the color of water.
Statues work the same is in tombs, you can move them around, but other than that they also just decorative items.
All sarcophagi can be slept in and sims will sometimes choose a sarcophagus instead of their own bed.
I have had a sim choose to sleep in cursed sarcophagus on their own rather than their bed and after few times, I don't know how many because I wasn't paying attention to that sim, they turned into a mummy. I think it did take more than couple of nights, because I remember shooing that sim to their bed many times before they changed. I didn't notice any changes in traits, but that sim had neither good nor bad trait so I can't say for sure if traits can change or not.
