As for "take my time and not rush into things" - I am also like this, I used to play with aging off, and currently I play with aging on with epic lifespan. My sims usually don't reach to the age limit where they age spontanously, because I don't have much time to play these days (I don't progress much in each game session) and I usually age them by birthday before that point.
