When I get stuck for title ideas, I use book title generators, song lyrics or poetry lines. Puns and idioms—or variations of them—work well for me too. I’ve also used odd phrases from Day Job Orchestra’s voice-overs, particularly ones from their Star Trek: TNG videos, most not suitable for this forum, lol. And I have a book series based on humorous phrases from Ze Frank’s True Facts vids.
For romance novels, I tend to use alliterative titles:
Sweet Surrender
Wicked Whispers
Passion’s Promise
Key to a Kiss
Some sci-fi titles my alien Sim wrote include:
The Timeship Project
The Telepathy Virus
Inside the Black Sun
The Moon Wars
Vagabond Star
I once played a homeless Sim who wrote at the library when he wasn’t collecting stuff or dumpster diving—his name was Oscar, lol. He wrote stuff like:
One Man’s Trash
Garb-Age: Fashion For Hip Hobos
No One Tells Me Knock-Knock Jokes Anymore
Children’s Books, many are parodies continuing the Dr. Seuss theme:
One Llama, Two Llama, Red Llama, Blue Llama
There’s a Shrew in my Shoe
Green Milk and Mush
The Angora in the Fedora
The Angora in the Fedora Comes Back
How The Klepto Stole Snowflake Day
Homework Kills Trees!
Math, Solve Your Own Problems!
Some humor novels have included:
Broken Pencils Are Pointless
A Closed Mouth Gathers No Foot
Karma Is Pronounced HAHAHA!
