Appaloosa is a mystery because there are no connections that I know of (I am sure there are some easter eggs somewhere, just haven't found them. I consider Appaloosa or Starlight around the same time frame, but vastly different places. This post led me on a fun journey through the wiki. I have played so many games (console etc) it is fun to connect the dots in the sims universe. I am now curious about which worlds I can move my households between and be on the right timeline.
