I had the most fun with MM, but some of that was because it was so unexpected! An updated version of that might not be as exciting the second time around.
I remember enjoying magic in TS2; and while I did enjoy it in TS3 (so many more life-states!), somehow I didn't find it as delightful. Been there done that? Bit hard to compete with MMORPG-magic?
But the vampire pack in TS4, while it worked, was again an unexpected pleasure. I'd never enjoyed playing vampires before. It did dull on me over time, but...it also stopped working correctly. I don't even bother playing my vampires, just as I don't play my 'player' sims, because they're not functioning properly. Would be nice if EA got those fixed, but I'm not holding my breath. Crinrict told those of us with broken 'player' traits that it was unlikely to get fixed because only 7 people (now 15?) reported the trait broken. (If your player sim loses friendship for romancing others, please hit the 'me too' button here! Thanks!)
