Just to be clear, neither do I. My post was meant to explain the behavior, not excuse it. And my word choice for the first adjective was meant to be clue for those who might have no idea what we are talking about. :)
Of course. I don't want to shoot the messenger. :p I know that much of their behaviour was just an act, but few new members on their forum had done any research about the site before joining and got a nasty shock. Simmers are a diverse group of people, and some have low self-esteem and have been victims of "irl" bullying and they, or anyone else for that matter, don't deserve being harassed because they ask a newbie question or misspell certain words. I personally joined and asked a newbie question there just after Sims 3 came out, and was basically told that a certain violent act should be done to me.
