- It's a glitch or a bug or whatever you want to call it. Try getting the sim a very expensive bed.

I will. Just curious, how does that work?
And thank you.- Welcome. I have no idea why an expensive bed makes a difference but it does. The problem started either after the latest patch or after I installed Late Night. I don't know which.

Well, I don't have Late Night ... so ... maybe it's a patch?- This bug drives me crazy! My sims are happy and healthy but really sad all the time. I hope it gets fixed in the next patch.
- Whenever this happens to me, I save my game, exit to the Main Menu, then reload that household. Goes away immediately, and doesn't come back for a long, long time, and I don't even have to switch to the more expensive beds.

The new patch had introduced this issue. It has something to do with the "Well Rested" moodlet or so I've heard. Apparently once the moodlet has gone away, it causes a massive drop in mood, one that is more than usual. This makes it harder to reach top moodlet.
I have the same issue as you, and even though I bought an expensive bed (It had 3 + signs too) I'm still stuck with the bug, so I just made the needs static because I got so sick of the issue. Hopefully it's fixed soon :)
OK so I dunno if that's correct...I use the static needs and make all happy cheats on a regular basis so my Sim never sleeps bc she's always fine so I never get the well rested moodlet and today this started happening to my Sim. she has several positive moodlets and NO negative ones but her bar says she's depressed??? riddle me that one? - epdaly1112 years agoNew Scoutso I use the static needs and all happy cheat all the time so my Sim doesn't sleep and is always "elated" but she went from that to depressed in a matter of seconds for no reason. I tried the bed thing and it was a no go, tried turning cheats off then on again- didn't work. tried exiting to the main menu but it was still not fixed...so I exited completely out of the game and went back in set my cheats and she is back to elated! thought I'd share the news
- This thread is nearly three years old. I imagine the original issue was probably fixed in one of the patches since then?

apparently not because it happened to me again! I have cheats set- needs static, all happy and out of the blue my Sims mood bar goes red but not one negative moodlet to be seen. The bed idea doesn't work so any other suggestions?
