Why it's impossible to pet a deer?!

Everytime a deer comes to my house or walks nearby, no matter how many times I click "watch" before trying "pet" it runs away

Like its impossible, it comes to my house to eat my garden but when I watch from distance it runs..there's no way to make it feel "safe" before trying to pet it

I've even given up on deers just like wild horses..but deers are much worse

    I misread the title of this thread. I thought it asked why it is important.

    Maybe you'd need to be friendly to other pets so it doesn't run away?
    Maybe the Animal Lover trait would help, I guess.

    I do, even if the deer just pass through, but it's hard if not impossible to pet the deer

    LOL. I feel your pain. Why do I get distracted by these popups? We should save them for our elderly years when we have finished everything else.

    Oh, noooo~ Are we going on a mission to pet deer in TS3?

    I don't notice them unless they get into my gardens - which hasn't happened in awhile (fenced me in!).
