Jacob cautiously climbed down the ladder, and slowly entered the barn.
If there was an intruder, he didn't want to startle them. He looked around
and didn't see anyone....But noticed the stall doors had been unlocked....The horses
were gone!

"They're going to to kill me He thought, as he rushed outside.
He managed to find one of Brianna's horses not too far from the ranch.
Jacob slowly approached the horse, trying to mimic how Brianna handles
them.He gently rubbed the nose of Buttercup and grabbed the reins.

"Now...for the other horse...If I was a horse, where would I be?" His
head was still hurting, but wanted to make an attempt to locate Marshal.

He managed to get on to Marshal without incident."I hope you know
the way home...I sure don't" Jacob spoke to the horse.His concussion was
far from his mind right now. He knew Brianna's horses meant a lot to her,
and he wanted to get them back for her.

Jacob: The horses got loose last night...I'm...I'm sorry.Its my fault.
I think whoever was after me, came here and let them lose.

Jacob: My first name's Jacob..He let a smile slip as he rubbed Buttercup's neck.
Brianna wondered if he would ever tell her his first name.

Miri: I give up! I can't do this.
Jacob: What is it?
Jacob watched the stressed out child work on her homework; clearly feel flustered at the
assignment.
Miri: My Science homework! I don't get it at all.
Jacob: Well, lucky for you Science is my expertise.
He sat down next to Miri and offered to help her.

Brianna walked in to find Jacob tutoring Miri.She smiled at the sight
of her niece excelling in Science, a subject witch Miri always struggled
with.She decided not to disturb them and went to help her mother with
dinner.

He flung his phone to the floor.
Jacob: I think I should probably leave...they will do more than let
your horses out.
Brianna: I'm not afraid of them.They can try to do whatever they want
I'll knock some sense into them.
Jacob couldn't figure Brianna out.What normal person would be okay with
strangers making threats towards her property. He still didn't understand
why she felt compelled to help her, and he felt sort of guilty dragging her into
his mess.
Brianna: I think you need an outing from here.Let's go to the lake.
Jacob: I'm not so sure that's a good idea, with threats and my head injury...
I still can't remember things.

enjoyed.He loved studying fish...But tonight he was studying something...or
someone else.He watched Brianna with interest....She knew so many different
skills.He would be lying if he said he wasn't impressed.

Officer Rogers: Are you Brianna Wilkes?
Brianna: Yes. Is something wrong?
Officer Rogers: We'll need you to come down to the station for questioning.
Brianna: For what?
Officer Rogers: You are suspected of Kidnapping Doctor Jacob Rush.
Brianna: What?! No, I pulled him out of the river and he's been staying
with me for safety from his real kidnapper.Just ask him, he'll tell you.
Officer Rogers: We will when he wakes up.
Brianna: Wakes up? Where is he?
Officer Rogers: He's been taking to the hospital.Once he's awake we will
ask about you.But for now we need you to come with us.If you go on your
own free will, we won't treat it as an arrest.
Brianna: Alright I'll come along.
Since Brianna was willing to go along, the officer didn't feel the need to handcuff her or
arrest her.he let Brianna sit up front as he brought her downtown."I hope jacob is okay" Is
all Brianna thought about.
