Will Sims 3 get wrecked if I try Sims 4 - since it's for free for a couple of days?

I downloaded it too, just for the plum of it. I think I played for about fifteen minutes, through part of the demo, just to see if it was very different from TS3, and I sincerely felt like playing a technicolor version of TS2... I loved TS2, but this was like going backwards instead of advancing. So now it is just sitting there. Maybe I'll try to create a sim with a big booty, just to see what the fuss is about! Can't help getting a feeling of restraint without the open world :(
