Won't load while traveling to University

I have been waiting for someone to test it out. It seems to work for me every time I have this problem. Now I go through the steps before sending my Sims so I don't have to deal with the lock up.

Hm. It's happening again with me the other way round. :?

I think this is so boring. I don't have much time to play, so missing two hours of game to me is a great thing. Besides that, I don't think we have any obligation of doing non-expected procedures in order to make the game work properly.

I hope EA fix it. :thumbdown:

This absolutely worked!! It would be nice if EA could have just made an expansion pack that didn't screw with everyone, but I'm so glad you found and shared a way around this problem. Thanks!

i get to the loading screen when I send my sim to University and it doesn't even load it gets stuck at 0% and then the game just exits itself out. I just got the game for Christmas.

Did you try the fix in the post right above yours?

Can you get University to load in a new save?

hi! i know this is really late (3 years omg) but i just got university. i tried editing the town and going to university but my loading bar just gets to around 97% and stops. Same thing happens when i try to send a sim to university. this is my first time attempting.

Thank you so much!!! This saved my sims- I thought I was going to have to start a new game! :D

I'm still having this problem (I recently re-installed the games) and keekee53's solution isn't helping me - when i try this, it's just stopping to load at around 98%, the game isn't freezing/stopping, it says it's running perfectly. I've tried probably 5-6 times today and yesterday, it's really annoying because I have to exit my game and if i didn't save, I'll miss a bunch of progress. Anyone have any ideas as to what to do?

I'm having the same problem and it also loads 98% and stops when I try to edit the university. Please help!
