I hope you're enjoying your new game. Adventuring can be lots of fun. I go into town view and there is often a marker to indicate the lot - it at least gives you a hint - as to where that library is.
Sometimes you can't get in because the single occupant of that house is a merchant at the market and is never off duty. If that happens I have made myself a sim who is dressed as a local and add them to the household as a housemate. This means I can get in if I need to. I used to wait and try again on another trip but in the end I just got over that idea and 'fix' the problem by adding another sim to that household.
I've been making videos of my sims working through all of the adventures. the video series is called 'The Isla Paradiso Bunch'. I'm still completing it so they haven't done them all yet. I've got two playlists - the first part is before they started adventuring - that's complete. The second playlist is them working their way through all of the tombs.
