You say what? Our Rflong not a true sims fan? Where is the emocon falling all over itself laughing it's fool head off? Why I never....
Only a true fan would have enough gumption to keep battling CAW for these little pudding heads... I call myself a true fan but not enough to fight that monster. I once told my hubby when he asked me why I just tested everyone elses worlds, why I didn't use the tool and make my own - well after I stopped choking from laughing to hard and not catching my breath - I managed to mouth - you are darned lucky I don't go back to trying that tool as this pc would probably be smashed to bits and tossed through the window had I ever decided to try that again.
Then he had the nerve to say "how hard can it be?" All I could do is spot and sputter, and just told him to mind his p's and q's and go play WOW.
We are all sims fans though as we are all still here buying everything they put out practically, even though we all know chances of it ever being perfect is never going to happen - we buy it all anyway - because as fans we justify it with - well parts that work is great - and we sort of just hope for a fix, or not use the broken parts, or do what I try and do and find a way around the issue to force it to be useable - 80 percent of the time I fail - but keep trying. Same thing with you folks and CAW - you all keep on chugging and trying to make a sims world a better world to play the little sims in.
Just as we were talking earlier both me and DM found parts of sims 4 we think we will really like - yet you Rflong and Tangie were very much turned off from the build stuff, the lighting and such. I can see that - for crying out loud you guys a creative builders and that stuff is important to your simming style - but it really doesn't bother me much as I am more interested in if I can make a better sim with out CC and their relationship and human-ishness is more important to me. DM does it all so I am sure he agreed on that part but probably agrees with you guys on the build stuff as well - but I notice he likes to wait and see some things.
I know one thing I call my self a fan but wonder what those people would think had I said what I said before - that no matter how great it had been - had it been online - I was not even going to look at it. At least I have said I will buy the base game - it's not online and personally I do not really trust the videos and pics ea shows as they often show things we can't even come close to doing - so the only way I know for sure is buy the base game. But if it does as Tangie says and goes online - that is definitely where I stop. There is no point in me having a game dependent on our satalite even if it was perfect.
So they can call me what they like - I don't much care - but I don't know anyone who would stick to a game all these years and put up with Hades we have and still buy more and not be a sim fan. We know better Rflong. Everyone is entitled to not like things - all of us do have parts we do or don't like about the sims and we all do just fine. So let them carry on as kindergarteners will - but they don't know nothing about true sim fans...
