Worlds and patterns

I was wondering if patterns used in some world will appear in game.
Maybe it's obvious for some, but I did't see any world with patterns, so that's why I ask.

Will this patterns be included in world's sims3pack, or should they be installed separately before installing world?

If I remember correctly~ Yes, and no. They'll be attached to the world file but not show up correctly (white walls). It's best not to use them at all in a world. :(

*Even having the pattern installed before or after installing the world won't make them show up where you put them. They player has to place the pattern onto the wall.

I tried to use them years ago in my Moon Base world. Has never worked. :(
