- Bettyboop558 years agoSeasoned AcePC for me, nothing else compares. I think a lot depends on the kind of gameplay you are after and I love building most.

I'm mostly a PC player who playes both TS2 and TS3 on my laptop which runs TS3 without any lagging even when overloaded with tons of Mods and tons of CC.
Hey, may I ask what type of laptop you have? I would love to be able to play on a laptop.- I would have to say PC. I've played Busting Out, Urbz and Castaway on Playstation. They were fun but not as flexible and the loading screen for Urbz...Ugh!!! :s Longest loading screen ever! I would have loved a Castaway type EP for sims 3.
- I've got a Windows 7 HP Pavlilion g6 and it's about five years old.
@Scopina2009 -I would've loved to have a desktop though it wasn't the most practical choice when I might be relocating and desktop computers tend to not survive longer moves that well.I've got a dedicated graphics card in my computer though not my older laptop which is over ten years old now and it's WindowsXP. - quixotictiger8 years agoNew SpectatorI think PC offers the best simming experience. Pre-TS3 I played console only—I still have The Sims, Bustin’ Out, The Urbz, The Sims 2, The Sims 2 Pets, and The Sims 2 Castaway on PS2. They were fun games, but after playing the PC versions I found I enjoyed the deeper gameplay so much more. I’ve never played Sims on mobile or handheld and don’t plan to.
- PC - you get a better sense of everything the Sims has to offer. Although I agree that for goal-oriented playing, consoles were ok. I first saw The Sims on a white PC, but by then I wasn't entranced by the Sims 2 for PC (and for some reason I never thought to ask for it), so I whatever allowance I'd get I saved up for console games. I had Bustin Out & Sims 2 for Nintendo SP, and then I got the Sims 2 Castaways and My Sims on DS. Castaways was such fun, and really a grinder (as was Sims 2, still havent completed everything) but once it gets to the 'free play' it can get boring I suppose.
Eventually I saved enough to buy Sims 3 when it first came out and I was really excited. Controllers confuse me too much to ever play a game like this that way - Dreamerz138 years agoSeasoned HotshotOh PC for sure. I tried Sims 3 on console but it really didn't interest me. I gave up after like an hour and just went to play real sims on my laptop lol. PC just offers more flexibility to the game, which is really important in Sims IMO. I agree with the console editions being good for goal-oriented gameplay... but that's not how I play my game. I can play almost any other game for that, I play sims because it's a sandbox game and I enjoy that.
