Only skimmed through but I wanted to say that the problem with the alarms is actaully a clock issue. It's not really a lag. What happens is that the clock does not update at all. EVERYTHING else (including Sims) works, it's just the clock that is frozen.

I've not been adding much since I still need to redo all posts on the english blog. Just not found the energy to do it.

I would remove StoryProgression just to check if it gets better. ErrorTrap installs the same way any other mod of Twallan's does.
