amjoie, the dark, shiny black skinned sims are the result of a sim being uploaded with a NON default skin that the person who downloads the sim does not have. Since the skin the sim was packaged with is not in their game, it gets replaced with that one.
It is the reason why creators continually stress that you should not package and upload sims with non default skins.
Default replacement skins do not transfer.
