Were your mods in the game when you patched? If not, had the mods been updated for the new patch before you added them back into the game? This may have been a conflict with mods and the new patch, that corrupted your game.
Did you try the save without any mods installed, to see if it did the same thing, without mods?
I'm sorry you lost your game. I hate when that happens. :(
Never when! When I update I pull the whole sims folder and let game create a new one. Test for several hours then add important stuff from my old folder over.
Also, Around the same time same neighbor hood had routing issue with the acrobat and magician. Paid for 4 for my kids party before he aged up and it was too late. They could not find the door.

So, I created a door where he tried to enter

but then he tried to go to the wall to the left of him. Refused to acknowledge door.

Also, another weird thing. Every so often. One in each neighborhood a male teen will age up and.....

The makeup is annoying enough but the hair is a deal breaker. Same hair, 1 male sim each neighborhood.
Only CC hair I have is ethnic, afros, braids and pressed hair.
