While I agree that the game is getting increasingly complex, and is full of coding that even EA probably doesn't understand. what I remember Pes saying was that you could have one and only one CORE mod. I don't recall that he said not to use other mods. Most other mods are xml tweaks or script mods. That's not to say that mods can't conflict with each other nonetheless.
And I want to make it clear that I am not advocating Core mods in any way, since they are a violation of the TOS. :-)
I am beginning to think that the so called "non-core" mods still have a lingering effect, even after they are removed. So all mods, even if they only seem to tweak things, may (as they interact with the EA core) wreak havoc on the game.
The reason I'm saying that it might be best to stick to one modder, is that an individual modder who makes numerous mods is going to be sure their own mods do not conflict with each other. This cannot be true as mods get mixed and matched, because no one person has oversight.
And technically, all mods could be construed as against the TOS.
What I'm advocating is that we all use more caution with mods. Any mods. It's becoming more difficult to get a stable game, even without them.
