 I have read through most of the posts, as I don't have mods of any kind at all, the way I have always played is pretty much the following.
1. Always play with debug enabled. Have been removing spawners from BP since I got LN, been replacing elevators in every building since the first time I saw stuck Sims.
2. Always go to edit town before starting a game and 'sort' all the venues.
3. Play each Ea family to a sorted lvl and save a copy, without store clothing.
Thing is, I don't know if re placing the families with sorted ones causes problems?
I have never deleted a sim or pet, or anything else.
I never found the paparazzi annoying, I found if you interact with them in anyway they just leave anyway. Same as when you chat to everyone you don't get hassled for autographs that disrupt what yr sim is doing, and the celeb 'rewards' are great for building up yr sim's funds. You have a sim with virtually no a'graph's signed but who cares?
I noticed the pets getting stuck, and pretty much part of edit town has been to remove all fences, hedges etc from get go, the first being the small hedge around the business/restaurant bld in BP. That was way before pets.
Same in SSV, sims would stamp their feet at homes with that tiny white fence they put around everything in the hood.
I play with aging on epic or off, no SP, because no matter what you do, the town turned into vamps and celebs. I had no lag issues until Pets came along. Even without allowing the Pet venues in the town, I had the place over run with pets of all kinds. Subsequently discovered, existing spawners seem to have been 'coded' to spawn the wild life stuff. Now I just visit every lot I can access in edit town and clear every single spawner I can lay my hands on including the deathfish in the graveyard. Thankfully we can now travel again, and I have seen that there are at least zero horses, cats or dogs in those destinations. I have had confirmation of the wild life added to the insect and rock + gem spawners, as when you find those things there are snakes etc there as well. A cockatoo in the middle of the Egyptian desert miles from anywhere? So strange! lol
My mission has become more intensive as my new graphics card is soooo glitched as regards the wild horses the hoods become unplayable and degrade really fast. Where ever a wild horse appears somewhere I have huge shattered crystals across the screen and if they enter the lot my sim is on, the game crashes. The performance park is a game breaker.
I have been unable to track down what ever spawns them. Any help would be appreciated.
BB is completely unplayable and that is a huge disappointment as the only way I was able to acquire it was the recent shockingly expensive 'new offer' of a 'free' BB at the store.
Any help on solving the horse issue, and a heads up on whether it is safe to be replacing the 'townies' would be appreciated.
Decided I'm shallow, hate playing with a town full of ugly sims, or miserable sims either starving or wetting themselves.
From time to time I do move out a family to clipboard, go in and check on what is going on when I see them walking everywhere when I know that they have cars, replace the cars I know they own, and re place them using free real estate. I then adjust the family funds back to what it was when I moved them out.
