Ok, Thank you for your answer about the young again potion. Much appreciated. :)
In the base game of Sims 3 I have played MANY of the EA Sims, including "copying them to the Library bin" and "placing them from the bin" back into the game. I played Fiona, her daughter, CyCloNe SwOrD from the "Roomies" family, Stiles MacGraw, Christopher Steel, etc. I have used them "placed from the library" over and over in 25+ saved games. I've saved to the CAS library and placed Bridget (I LOVE HER as a Sim)in every game I've played! I gave her a makeover (different clothes, she's already pretty) never aged her. I played the burglar Robbie Bland with the intention of "rehabilitating him." I maxed out all his skills, gave him 24 Million dollars, two wives of his liking(sequential not concurrent, lol) and put him in the best in-game house. FYI, he turned out to be a very nice Sim, the first divorce was the WIFE'S FAULT. With Robbie Bland and Cyclone I would SOMETIMES have TWO in the game, and I deleted the "spawned" ones WITHOUT the skills maxed or had them go to City Hall and change their names and continued to play the original Sims in EVERY world from Sunset to Appaloosa Plains. So.... I think some game Sims "spawn" and some do not. Don't know if this helps you or not, but I never once played the "story" that came with the game. I've deleted almost ALL EA Sims from new games! I've deleted the Gangster Warehouse and all the burglars, placing a house I built on the lot!! After reading this thread, I'm SHOCKED I was able to play the game! FYI, after deleting the Warehouse and all the burglars I could find, they STILL continued to rob the house, lol. The burglars are in the GAME for good. lol
Yes, I thought I could eliminate the things in the game I didn't like, by deleting them. But as you found out, it isn't that simple.
Apparently, no one knows if binning EA sims, and then using the binned sims in other games is safe. The same for exporting EA sims and then importing them into CAS. I wish I had the definitive answers. So much in this game seems ok, and then ends up, much later, being a problem. Sigh.
