Re: [Current Issue] Sims 3 "serious error" when loading save

Hello. I recently decided to try playing Sims 3 again, for the first time since getting a new laptop. I began playing, no problem, until I closed out of the game and relaunched. Once I save a game for the first time and close it, I can't get past the launcher again. I get an error message suggesting I restart the application. I have tried everything I can find on the internet: changing Net Frame; downloading DirectTX9; disabling antivirus; disabling OneDrive; moving/renaming folders; Alder Lake Patch; repairing game through EA app; removing .bad save files; everything! Can someone please help me figure out what is wrong? I am running off intel Core i3. I do not have any mods downloaded. I just launched the game for the first time yesterday and this has been the result each time. I can't even create a new game now without getting the same error message. And, it is not world specific, as it happens no matter which world I select. I do have multiple expansion packs selected.

CarolinaGurl104  If you still need help, please post a screenshot of the error.

Please also provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

Hello. Yes, I still need help.

This is the error message I am receiving when trying to load my game. And, I have attached the dxdiag file, as requested.

I will take a look at that thread, though I have already turned off OneDrive and it still isn't working.

CarolinaGurl104  In case it's not clear, simply disabling OneDrive doesn't usually fix the issue; you'd need to move the Documents directory out of the OneDrive folder.
