As many of you have already discovered, a new Game Update is now available!
It provides a solution to an issue where some players, hosting Sims via SimPort, were seeing user-created, custom content, mostly by non-EA tools, appearing in their games. This latest update will prevent user-created, custom content from being installed and stored on a host player's system.
In order to preserve the unique look of the Sims' faces and bodies that are sent to another player's game using SimPort, customizations created by standard Create A Sim sliders will be displayed. There may be extreme cases where players use non-EA tools to override the standard slider values, in which case the look of the Sim may appear as "custom content."
Any files that are sent to a host's game to support the SimPort tour are also now removed immediately upon completion of the SimPort experience.
I apologize for the confusion on this topic. Our focus has been, and continues to be, making The Sims 3 Showtime and all its features a fun, safe and secure experience.
Thank you again for your feedback and patience. I hope you enjoy the game!
Thank you for clearing that up. So the Sim is installed in our games for the duration of the Simporting ?
