Sims3, World Adventure, Out Door Living, Ambitions, and Generations installed in that order ALL as a fresh install.
Please note we had to use the Download manager 5 in order to download because the new download manager will NOT download anything no matter how many times I have uninstalled, reinstalled, and patched.
Our only resolution was to manually patch everything.

7. Did you start a new game for Generations or are you playing an existing ones
Tried existing game first and it had faces down the left side of the screen with no access to build mode, options, etc. Tried again with a new character and the same thing. Uninstalled Generations and tried again with the same result. Appears to be an issue with the update.
