Island Paradise Bug Thread

I'm having two issues. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Island Paradise expansion pack already. I'm also getting a new computer on Thursday, so we'll see if I continue to have problems then.

Anyway, my first issue is an extremely slow CAS. When starting the game to create a new Sim, it's taking me upwards of half an hour. And I'm not doing anything like picking out clothing or customizing colors. That's only to pick the traits, favorites, and tweak the facial features for one sim. I've had problems with CAS ever since the new patch was released. CAS seems to like to crash my game, so I'm guessing this new problem has to do with both the patch and the expansion.

My second issue is that when I re-enter the game and pick up from where I left off, my sim no longer has a home. It doesn't matter if she's living in a houseboat or on dry land. She's booted from wherever I had her living. The worst part is that if it's a houseboat, the entire houseboat is completely gone, like I never even built it.

Now to answer the questions.

1. Are you using any Custom Content or mods ? I'm using several mods, but none that have ever caused me to have problems before.
2. If you are using mods, are you using any of the 'big ones' like Awesome Mod or Twallan’s mods? The mods I have are NoBuildSparkles, nointromaxis, ErrorTrap, Overwatch, Saver, and Traffic.
3. If you're not using mod, did you never use them or did you take them out for the EP (as you are supposed to do)? I took out the mods when I installed both the patch and the expansion pack.
4. Did you update the mods you put back with a compatible version? I have the most recent versions of all mods.
5. Do you have Island Paradise or just the Patch? Both
6. Which Patch Level are you at? 1.55
7. Did you start a new game or are you playing an existing ones? I started a brand new game to test everything. I can't imagine the problems I would run into if I had used an existing game.
8. Did you transfer an existing Sim over or are they new/Pre-Made? Brand new Sim.
9. What town are you currently playing? EA or Custom? I'm playing in Isla Paradiso.
10. What is your Operating System (Mac, XP, Vista, Win 7)? Mac OS 10.8.4
11. Do you have the download or DVD Version of the game? Digital download through Origin

ETA: it seems that one of my problems is the Scott family (Tariq, Linda, and Chandell). They cause script errors each time I load the game or come out of Buy/Build mode. Should I delete them, and if so, how?
