I'm just amazed that modders are working on this and solving issues or coming up with mod fixes. If they can do it surely EA can too. So the question remains why don't they?
I am also a frustrated player. I haven't played my games since my last saved file "corrupted" with spawning sims and invisible sims galore on one lot. Since LN ate my legacy family I have had nothing but one game gone after another, for whatever random reason. The game's errors restricts me on my type of game play, long term, one family play.... generation after generation.
I too contacted CS ages ago and I was told to come to the forums and post my feedback and search for solutions among fellow players. I give a thumbs down to this answer.
Mods are great but frankly I don't want to be forced (by a faulty game) to install them. But I guess at this point I shouldn't be holding my breath for EA to give me a fix either.
P.S. I hope my file with the mass invisible sims gives you something to work with, perhaps to solve these major issues/flaws.
