But I wanted to add that I got a new computer and transferred all my files over this past weekend and I was amazed at my game.
I'm sure some of the issues are the game rather than the machine, the errors and bugs that lots of people get, even those with high end computers. I sure hope so anyway - if super-computer specs are needed to run the game, then that's what EA should say on the box.
I agree, they need to up what the box reads. My computer was 4 years old, updated etc...
Like you mentioned, I was also amazed at what I had been missing out on my other computer. I had been complaining about sims not Having full will even though it was set to the highest level. I felt like I always had to force my sim to do stuff. If I sent one sim downtown to socialize or meet other sims they would never do so unless I ‘forced’ them to do things. I was burning out, couldn’t swing back and forth to several sims in the household because when I’d leave one the other would do nothing on his/her own. Honestly, I was blaming the game like crazy, including the issue with my sims standing around outside of home parties they’d been invited to, not being able to get in the home.
So if anyone reading this is noticing their sims are standing around, taking forever to do tasks like change clothes once you’ve told them to do so, then you might what to consider it could be the computer specs after all.
Of course I still expect the cars piling up to take place and the invisible sims but I will run mod free for a short bit and see what I get on the higher end computer. Oh, and I took my sim to a club and it was still not hoping so I don’t think that issue is a computer spec issue like some have speculated. But I will keep testing to see. : )
