45rpm, the free stuff from the store...there are things in the Store that are free. Riverview is free. The Renault, Ford, and Toyota are free and all come with solar panels and wind power generators. The Earth Day potted plants are free.
I had downloaded lots of the seasonal type stuff, like for Halloween and winter holidays and Valentines Day.
I know that many play to have families and go through generations. And I would like to do the Science career again, as I love trying out the experimenting with the ray gun thing. I had so much trouble getting stuck at the Science facility when I would have someone employed there.
No, the game doesn't work right for the kids and for the careers.
But I can play the way I am playing and not get problems. So it's another way of playing. A valid way, which may be why everyone in the world isn't complaining about having problems. They too may be playing similar to how I play, without kids right now and without a regular career.
I would really LIKE it to work for all kinds of play. I mean, that last error with the fridge locking up? I had two sims, both of whom could cook, well advanced in their cooking skills. When the child from time travel appeared, NO meals could be prepared by either adult. That meant the only thing this child would ever get to eat are the quick meal items they get on their own.
There would never be leftovers. I would never be able to invite people over for dinner or other meals. The fridge and range and even a barbecue grill would not let either adult prepare meals. You KNOW there is a huge problem with the game when something like that occurs.
When faced with one of two options, I chose to go back to an older saved game to be able to cook, and got rid of the time travel machine, so there would be no child or possibility of a child.
If the problems lie with the children, then Generations should be a huge mess too. It won't work. The problems will have to be fixed with raising the children in order for that EP to be useful for anyone. Right?
As there's no way anyone having problems being able to raise children now is going to buy an EP based on the children...
