I think it will be OK if you have turned off the automatic updates in the Launcher - then it won't try to install the new patch before we're ready. Then just move the mod out of the folder and then delete the caches. When Overwatch is updated for the latest patch, the mod can go back in.

We can all keep an eye out for the new patch :)
