This happened with a downloaded house not long ago, I thought that it might be corrupt and deleted it.
I just noticed the same thing again today, with my legacy family's house, while playing another household. This house was built by me, and the above mentioned another house is on top of it. :shock:
Hi: this is a glitch that's been around a long time. The way it was explained to me is that the game sometimes has problems rendering the new house. So if you bulldoze the old one down and rebuild, in Map View you might still see the old one or a combination of the two.
It used to drive me crazy - being the control freak that I am but I've learned to live with it. To fix it - go into Build Mode and make a small change - take out a section of fence and put it back, for example - and your new house should show up correctly in Map View for a while.
It does tend to come back.
