Hello, welcome to the Glitch Club... this thread is very long but Crinrict has compiled all the bugs and possible solutions in her blog and there are links to that in the first post, so you could just check there. In summary, the Overwatch mod by Twallan has helped many of us. He is updating it right now for the Generations patch so it would be best to wait a little while before installing it. I don't know whether the bug fixes within the new patch will help but it might also be worth playing for a while with the new patch to see if your problems resolve.
