Pets Bug Thread
That patch is here and there are actually lots of fixes. The manual Patch can be downloaded here: Patch 1.29 (850 MB) I myself will not continue to compile this thread. See page 119 for details....

I know this may seem like something stupid, but have you tried the "new" install for the Sims 3 downloads? Mod the Sims 2 brought up a really big glitch that people were having that caused anyone who used the old method of downloading CC to lose their ability to use those objects. They would get the "no interactions available" basically, making the object unusable.
If you don't know how you installed it, or how to install it the "new" way, here's a link:

It's really straight forward so it shouldn't cause you any issues.
If this isn't your problem, and I am sure it probably isn't, then what may be happening is a single CC object is causing your game to glitch out. This object could have code matching another object that this EP includes. Objects are just as likely, unfortunately, to crash a game as a mod. Especially objects with new interactions that coincide or are coded over an interaction that was just added in. Considering how densely coded this EP happens to be, it isn't surprising that some CC could cause problems.
Unfortunately, there's no one test to figure out which one is doing what. I would recommend the program that was created to check your CC for bad downloads, but I am concerned that it may not function properly until updated for Pets.
What do you think?
I hate to say this but, um no. I have been having no issues with CC and have ALL expansions. I also am a frequent user of MTS and know about the old way vs the new way.
Also, I don't have bad CC. I haven't even added anything to game. Not that this is relevant as I am just reporting from other members who are well known for creation. I think they know the difference between bad CC and when there is a conflict/bug. I myself have not patched and even though I preordered and will have my game tomorrow I won't patch until there is either a fix or creators get a chance to update their items.
As I said, it's not a matter of bad CC. There are reports that any CC that didn't include the slots in the package and instead referenced the slots from the cloned EA item are updated as the slots themselves are the issue. Not the CC.
