- No. But my sim wants to join the Alchemist career. Is there another way to do that?
I think you need Ambitions to have self-employed careers. Won't work without.
Sorry, but isn't that a load of bull?! Seriously, if I'd known I would have engineered my sim differently so as to account for that. Way to go to try and get people to buy more expansion packs than they actually want... just make it so they NEED another one to simply play the ones they've got to the fullest. SMH I know this sounds angry and I'm sorry for that, but it is what it is.
Problem is, it used to work properly and I think EA borked it in one of the patches. There are so many reports on all kinds of careers not working and I'm pretty sure it worked before.
I know this doesn't console the people who have this bug but it's my only explanation why so many are complaining about this. Since EA is done with Sims 3, I doubt they'll patch it but maybe there's a mod out there that does. I simply don't know.
