Re: Broken Simpoint Ads Play But Don't Pay

You understood it right, @arthena8504 ๐Ÿ™‚ Usually the 'Accept as solution' button (only visible for who opened the thread) is there to let everyone know which post answers the question, or fixes the issue, and make the solution appear in the front page.

In this case, however, I marked myself the post as solution because the thread is quite long. As I tried to explain there, we are not considering this issue as fixed, but I marked my post as solution for it to be more visible. This way, you don't need to read all the thread to see the information I was sharing with you there.

For everyone wondering if I disappeared: I'm still here, I'll come back to you if I have any news to share.

Thanks again for your patience,

Mai

    Hi!

I know you said that you are still around and will get back to us if you have any news to share but that was about a month ago. Has there been any kind of progress to get the ads back? Is

there anything at all that you can tell us?  Please

    Thanks

It's been quite a few months now, has there been any progress on the ads and/or a time frame in which they are expected to return?

    Hi everyone,

I have no more information to share with you at the moment, but I wanted to post to let you know that we haven't forgotten about this issue. I know you are looking forward getting the adds back, and the team is also aware of that.

It's still something the team is investigating, but please, rest assured, if we have any news to share, we will make sure to post them here.

    Thanks for your patience,
    -Mai

@EA_Mai Thank you for all the help you continue to provide the TS3 community.

I realize that this is ongoing, but it would be appreciated if someone could throw together a quick script to replace the non-functioning one in the launcher. It may reduce tension if we didn't have an error jumping into our faces every time we launch the game.

  • Is this problem ever going to be resolved? There has been no new information about it.

  • All we can do is wait. Im sure the problem will be fixed at some point.

  •  @EA_Mai I appreciate you taking the time to give us information about the Sim point ads problem. I also realize that everyone is busy but, it has been several months since we've gotten any updates and the problem still has not been solved.

Are the ads still being worked on and will eventually be returned?  Or are the Simpoint ads permanetly gone?

  • I was wondering this also. I check the store often to see if the ads are back. I'm torn between waiting for ads or spending actual money to finish up the store.

  • Guys, it's been 6 months since the ads stopped working and were pulled from the site. At this point, I'll be surprised if they ever come back, and EA has probably just been giving us lip service the whole time because... it's EA.

I feel bad for Mai, because she's done all she can do, which is notify the team of the problem and relay info as it becomes available. But, until the person with the power to fix this does something, we won't see any changes; if EA wanted to fix this, it'd have been done by now.

@lauravonawesome I was thinking the same thing.  ๐Ÿคจ  What a way to treat such loyal customers.  ๐Ÿ˜ž    I really do hope they fix it, because it was a lot of fun to get points accumulated and gift things to friends, and pick up some stuff for myself as well.  I already spent a TON of $$ on the packs, so I liked the idea of getting these extra store items for "free"! ๐Ÿ™‚  ๐Ÿ™‚

The only reason they haven't fixed this problem is because they will lose money if people watch ads instead of paying for points. All ea cares about is making money not releasing quality products or listen to what there customers are talking about.

Actually @Panda14616 I think they were making more money buy us watching the ads. We were paid 5 cents (U.S.) for each ad we watched and I bet the ad companies were paying EA more than that. (Not sure how much more though). More than likely the reason why EA refuses to fix the ads and everything else wrong with the store .....Like the sales page..... is because they are trying to force us into playing their closed world Sims 4.
